Engineers who build
Our team designs the buildings our own factory makes and our crews install, including hundreds of modular education buildings. We test every recommendation against what genuinely works on site.
TG Escapes
In-house timber-frame and modular structural engineering, backed by over 900 delivered buildings. Designs that are buildable, durable and affordable.

Most structural consultancies hand over calculations and never see the building go up. Ours do, every day. TG Escapes offers structural engineering in-house, as part of a business that designs, manufactures and installs modular timber-frame buildings across the UK, with more than 900 projects delivered. That means our engineers know how timber-frame and modular structures actually behave once they are built, not just on paper. Whether you are an architect, a main contractor, a developer or a self-builder, you get practical, Eurocode-compliant structural design, analysis and calculations from a team that has proven its work on site.
Bringing our structural engineers into your project adds practical, build-tested expertise at the point it matters most. From early feasibility through to detailed calculations, here is what working with our timber-frame and modular specialists means for your design, your programme and your budget.
Our team designs the buildings our own factory makes and our crews install, including hundreds of modular education buildings. We test every recommendation against what genuinely works on site.
We focus on panelised timber-frame and modular structures, so you get engineers who understand how the frame, panels and connections perform across a long service life.
We optimise your design for cost and constructability. For the thermal, acoustic and structural detail your team will want, see our full building specifications.
Independent structural input early in design helps you resolve problems before they reach site. We offer simple, practical solutions drawn from hundreds of completed projects.
Need a few beams, a foundation solution or a complete structural package? You use our structural engineering expertise as much or as little as your project requires.
Timber is a naturally low embodied-carbon material. Our engineers advise on materials and energy efficiency, supporting carbon neutral operation and lower long-term running costs.
We have designed and delivered over 900 buildings across the UK, including more than 250 education buildings, over more than 20 years of trading. Our structural engineers are not a theoretical consultancy. They design buildings that our own factory manufactures and our own teams install, so the feedback loop from calculation to completed structure is real. That experience is exactly why so many architects and contractors bring us in. You can read more about us and how we work.

You send us your drawings, site information and design intent. We review everything and give you an early read on the structural challenge. By the end of this stage, you have a clear, honest view of feasibility.
You tell us your priorities for cost, programme and constructability. We propose a structural strategy and sensible options. By the end of this stage, you have a buildable approach agreed before detailed design begins.
You confirm the chosen scheme. We produce full Eurocode-compliant calculations, member sizing and structural drawings. By the end of this stage, you have a documented package ready for building control and your contractor.
You give us the ground conditions and survey data. We design the appropriate foundations, from pad and pier to screw piles or a reinforced raft. By the end of this stage, you have a foundation solution matched to your site.
You keep us in the loop with your architect and main contractor. We coordinate our calculations and details with the wider design, resolving clashes early. By the end of this stage, you have an integrated, conflict-free structural design.
You decide how far our involvement runs. Where we also manufacture and install, we carry the design through to a completed building. By the end of this stage, you have a structure that performs exactly as engineered.

Learn more"TG were recommended from another Trust. Following a tender process they were awarded the contract but even through this process they were professional, courteous and nothing was ever too much trouble. The site manager was visible, responsive and kept us well informed of the plans for the week ahead, this made a huge difference. The project was finished ahead of schedule, yes you read that right, and handover and snagging issues were seamless. Would highly recommend Tom and the team."
"The team at TG Escapes were great to work alongside throughout the course of the project, from design through to construction and handover. Their programme and value for money were impressive making them stand out from other providers. The provision of essential SEND teaching space is a real improvement to the school's existing facilities."
'Our experience of working with TG Escapes and their team of trades people was genuinely a pleasure, and five (or six!) star rated throughout. From our first contact it was clear that the whole organisation is professional, friendly, personable and has a "can do" approach to finding and providing solutions. The quality of their build and workmanship is first class and our eight month build process was Project Managed extremely well, with great communication throughout and a seamless handover on time and in budget.'
